Sleeping alone!!

This week's been kinda tough with Stephen working overnight from 6 pm to 6 am. I'm kinda lonely and extra tired. Stephen sleeps during the day so he can't help me with Matthew and at night obviously it's all me. If it wasn't for MJ sleeping through the night I think I'd go crazy.

But today was a good day. I did my first zoo program in 7 months. It was nice. The kids were little bitties and their attention span didn't last my whole talk but it was OK. I got to talk about animals. One of my favorite things to do. The animals were really good too. Kanga, the Hyacinth macaw, flew to me with no hesitation. I haven't worked with him in a program setting in 7 months, but he was perfect. If you know macaws they can be very fickle and moody. I love that bird. The only bad part about today was the snake. As I was taking off the lid to get him a foul odor came from the bag. He had pooped!! Snake poop is VERY stinking. I had to walk around with a very stinky animal around my waist. The kids noticed too, but all they did was hold their nose. It was cute to see.

I also miss the answers little kids give. One "question" was, "My dad hates cats!" What! We're talking about snakes. Of course we didn't say anything, but "really?" Another little girl stopped my co-worker who was holding the toad and asked, "you're gonna wash your hands right?" Very cute. I love kids!!
